Game Boy - Wikipedia

Remember the Game Boy? 🕹

Released in 1989. Powered by technology from the 1970s.

Ugly, colourless grey-scale screen. The least advanced system on the market.

The Game Boy smashed sales records.

Engineers found the games simple to make. Customers found them easy to play.

As teachers we can do the same thing. Make challenging behaviour easy to record and simple to interpret. Use one system to record your data. On your phone, computer and paper.

Phone 📱

Paper

When you have recorded your information on paper transfer it to the spreadsheet.

Use 3 colours to fill in the sheet 👇 🟢 🟡🟥 or use numbers 1, 2 , 3

Example - Transitions

1. 🟢 1 minute Transition

  1. 🟡 5 minute Transition

  1. 🔴 10 minute Transition

Computer

The data is input into a central location. In the cloud ☁

Easy to interpret.
1 , 2 3 marking system with colours.
Green 🟩 Yellow 🟨 Red 🟥

Meetings can be informed by this tool. Modify the sheet , change the system to suit your needs. Just remember to keep it simple, Nintendo did and so can you.
